This year, Handbags for Health brought a fresh twist to our annual fundraiser by moving entirely online. While we paused our in-person gathering, the heart of the event remained the same—beautiful items, friendly bidding, and meaningful support for local healthcare.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community, this year’s event raised over $1,000 in support of local healthcare services. Every bid helped make a real difference, turning a fun and engaging online auction into tangible impact for those who rely on care in our community.

Highlights from 2025

Handbags for Health 2025 Raises Over $6,300 for Vital Community Programs

On February 7, 2025, supporters came together for an inspiring evening at Handbags for Health — and thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, over $6,300 was raised to support essential services offered by Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes.

Where Your Support Goes

Proceeds from the event will help fund a wide range of Community Care programs that help local seniors and adults live safely, stay connected, and maintain independence in their own homes. From Specialized Transportation vans, subsidized Meals on Wheels, and Adult Day programming, to ensuring access to our Community Dental Clinic and Hospice & Grief Services, your contributions help bridge the funding gap and bring health and wellness services to those who need them most.

To honour the legacy of the event, proceeds from the Fund-a-Need portion of the evening will continue to support our Hospice Services, providing compassionate care and comfort to individuals and families navigating the final stages of life.
