Accessibility

Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes is committed to providing equal treatment to people with disabilities with respect to the use and benefit of services, programs, goods and facilities. We are committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to access services and allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same places and in similar ways as all other clients and employees. This commitment extends to clients, families, visitors, employees and volunteers with visible and non-visible disabilities.

Service clubs and foundations, including the Ontario Trillium Foundation, also make contributions that are essential to ensure that Community Care continues to meet the needs of local residents.

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act became law in 2011, and requires that community organizations such as CCCKL produce multi-year accessibility plans that include targets and timelines for compliance with requirements of the accessibility standards.

CCCKL is pleased to include its Multi-Year Accessibility Plan for 2021-2024.
