Because podiatric-related health issues become more common as we age or for people with health concerns such as Diabetes, we offer a service that helps people put their best foot forward. The Registered Practical Nurses of our Foot Care program provide several levels of support: examinations, foot hygiene and nail trimming assistance, treatments for common issues, and recommendations for improved footwear. Appointments can be scheduled in select clinics or in home for qualified individuals.
Foot care is provided by a Registered Practical Nurse who has taken specialized training in Advanced Foot Care, as well how to assess and support clients with Diabetes. In order to accommodate as many clients as possible, pre-booking of appointments is required. Call us at 705-324-7323 ext 118 to schedule an appointment.
Visits at one of our clinics are $35. The appointment typically runs for 30 minutes. The first appointment may be longer. Home foot care is available throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes on Mondays and Thursdays at a cost of $40 per home visit. Please note, home visit clients must meet eligibility criteria.
