Cheque Presentations

Cheque presentations are a wonderful way to celebrate our donors generosity and showcase their support for Community Care. These moments not only highlight the impact of giving but also inspire others in our community to get involved. We are grateful to every individual and organization that chooses to support our work. Your contributions allow us to continue providing vital programs and services across Kawartha Lakes.

Check out a few of our recent cheque presentations:

Kawartha Concert Band – On December 13th KCB held their holiday concert “A Winter’s Dawn”. $5 from every ticket sold was donated to Community Care’s Meals on Wheels program. The group was able to raise $1,050. Thank you for your ongoing support for Community Care.
Burns Bulk Food – We are extremely grateful to Burns for selecting Community Care as the recipients of this October Mix of the Month fundraiser. They plan and pack 100 bags of candy in-house and sell them for $15, with $5 from each bag donated to the featured organization. The bags sold out in a record 11 days! 
Lindsay Wholesale Club – thank you to your staff who collected and your customers who contributed at your check out. Your efforts raised $1,420 which allows Community Care to provide programs and services at a low cost to our neighbours.
Mackey Funeral Home Inc. – thank you for sponsoring a 50/50 raffle draw! Alison, you continue to carry on Linden’s legacy with such heart and dedication – keeping his spirit of community support alive in everything you and your team does.
Mariposa Dairy – thank you for sponsoring our Merry Movie & Magical Moments event! Your support helps us bring joy and holiday cheer to families in our community. We’re so grateful for your partnership and kindness.
Mariposa Electric – thank you for choosing Community Care as one of the recipients of your 2025 Golf Tournament. Your donation of $8,000 is received with much gratitude. Keep swinging!
Omemee Swans – we were honoured to be included in your Season of Giving and to be presented with a donation of $1,000. Very grateful for your continued support.
RBC – we are incredibly grateful for your generous donation of $5,000. RBC continues to invest in meaningful local initiatives, empowering their employees to advocate for causes that matter through their Communities Together program.
