Kawartha Concert Band Presents “A Winter’s Dawn”

On December 13th, 2025 the Kawartha Lakes Concert Band held their holiday concert, “A Winter’s Dawn”, and it was delightful. Such talent and passion here in our local community. It was a double bonus for Community Care who received proceeds from their ticket sales. The band raised $1,050 to support our Meals on Wheels Program. We are so grateful for their generous donation. Make sure you mark Saturday May 30th 2026 on your calendar to experience their spring performance “The Maple Leaf Forever” where they will be featuring Canadian composers.
Burns Bulk Food “Mix of the Month” Fundraiser – October 2025

We are extremely grateful to Burns Bulk Food for hosting this fundraiser. Each month, Burns selects a local charity or non-profit to support through their “Mix of the Month” initiative. They plan and pack 100 bags of candy in-house and sell them for $15, with $5 from each bag donated to the featured organization. Community Care was honoured to be chosen for October 2025, with the theme “Sweet and Sour Scares for Community Care.” The bags sold out in a record 11 days! Thank you, Burns Bulk Food, for your incredible generosity and for everything you do for our wonderful community here in Kawartha Lakes.
