Our Homemaking program supports clients in the City of Kawartha Lakes who don’t have a caregiver to assist them at home. Community Care staff will complete an assessment to determine the level of care that is required. Housekeepers are available to those who only require this service and don’t require the assistance of a Personal Support Worker (PSW).

Housekeepers help clients maintain a clean, safe home and stay independent for longer. The one-on-one visits also offer social connection and peace of mind for both clients and their families, empowering individuals to live with dignity and confidence in their own homes.

Feeling seen, heard, and respected can give clients a sense of meaningful purpose to help them live the lifestyle they choose – without having to feel like they’re relying on friends, family, or neighbors.
