Help Drive Care Forward Campaign

We Did It! Together, We Raised $50,000

Our community came together to Drive Care Forward, and we reached our $50,000 fundraising goal!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we’ve reached our goal of raising $50,000 to help fund the accessibility modifications for a new specialized transportation van.

Every donation, share and show of support helped make this possible. Your generosity will help Community Care continue providing safe, accessible transportation for people who rely on us to get to medical appointments, treatments, community programs and other important destinations.

For individuals and families across the City of Kawartha Lakes, these rides mean more than getting from one place to another. They mean access to essential care, greater independence and staying connected to the people and activities that matter most.

Thank you for helping us Drive Care Forward!

To date you have helped us raise $50,000!

Our Journey Doesn’t Stop Here!

Although we’ve reached our $50,000 goal, the need for accessible transportation continues to grow. Each new specialized van costs more than $120,000 before accessibility modifications, and ongoing support helps us continue meeting the needs of our community.

If you’d still like to contribute, donations are always welcome and will help support Community Care’s transportation services and the people who depend on them.

Thank you for being part of this incredible community effort. Together, we’re helping keep care within reach.

A Story of Independence

“Without accessible transportation, we don’t know what we would have done.”

When Samantha and Holly Burke’s mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at just 60 years old, their family became caregivers overnight.

As her condition progressed and she began using a wheelchair, getting to appointments became increasingly difficult.

That’s when Community Care stepped in.

Today, Community Care’s transportation services continue helping families like theirs access care, connection, and independence.

The Burke Family

Because of generous donors, families like Samantha and Holly’s don’t have to face caregiving alone. Your support helps ensure every ride is safe, compassionate, and available when it’s needed most.

Together, we’re helping people stay connected to healthcare, community, and the people they love.
