How to Register for a Group

1. Register Online

Click the registration button under your chosen walking program in the drop down menu below. This will take you to our online registration form.

2. Receive Confirmation

After you submit your registration, a member of our team will contact you using your provided information to confirm your attendance.

Offered in partnership with the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team, Walk in the Halls provides the chance to walk in a warm, safe, and fun environment during the winter months. The program is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Step count logs and a limited number of pedometers are available so participants can track their progress.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 – 7 pm., from November to April

Where: Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI), 260 Kent St W, Lindsay, ON

The entrance door is located on the South side of the building, facing Kent St. off of the parking lot. The registration table is straight through the doors in the open space ahead.

Nordic Pole Walking is one of the fastest-growing low-impact exercises. Pole walking has been shown to burn more energy than regular walking, uses 90 per cent of the body’s muscles, and is a great social activity. Our free sessions are led by certified instructors.

All walkers are welcome – poles or no poles. A limited number of walking poles are provided for those who do not have their own.

Bobcaygeon – Wilderness Park

When: Tuesdays 9 – 10 am May until September

Walking Program volunteers help create a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment for participants of our walking programs. Volunteers offer encouragement, assist with sign-in and group organization, and share basic program information. A small time commitment can make a meaningful difference in helping others stay active and engaged. Be the Heart of Community Care.
